4C Health Awarded FEMA Grant Funding Through Indiana DMHA to Address Disaster Relief in Clinton County

4C Health (formally Four County) was recently awarded Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding, through Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA), to address and assist individuals and communities from the effects of natural caused disasters through the provision of community-based outreach and psycho-educational services.

The funding allows for 4C Health staff (crisis counselors) to perform face to face community outreach to area residents in Clinton County, following storms and tornadoes in spring of 2023. These individuals will be working to outreach community members to provide education, resources, and crisis counseling. These services and resources will be free for community members and allow for direct access to services and follow-up from the crisis counselors to ensure that they are appropriately navigated to needed resources. The focus is on physical and mental well-being following disasters in the area.

Lisa Willis-Gidley, Chief Revenue Officer, states “This funding allows for community residents to receive quick, efficient access to any needed community resources without barriers. The effects and need for support following a disaster can last and appear after a significant amount of time. This is an excellent opportunity for community members to get the necessary resources and some education on the availability of resources, while also gaining some social support.”
